Sherwood Primary School is situated in the leafy suburb of Sherwood , Durban and is a state school. We cater for learners from Grade R to Grade 7 . Our core business is EDUCATION and we aim to develop the HOLISTIC child , preparing them for the future. We work in a clean , litter-free environment which we share with our fauna and flora.

Our History
Sherwood Primary School opened in 1953 and Miss K.A. Frank assumed duty as the first principal. There were two prefabricated rooms and 33 pupils enrolled. Read More
Applications to our school will open on the 10th of April 2026.
- An open morning will be held for PARENTS only, on FRIDAY, 10 April 2026 at 08:30-9:30 in our School Hall.
- Requests for admissions will be available on the day, and any other day (Mondays- Thursday 08:30-12:00)
- Requests for admissions must be handed back to our office not later than 29th MAY 2026.
- Space is very limited.
